1. Introduction and Values of PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL
At PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL, we understand that the practice of architecture entails a unique responsibility: transforming the physical environment and, consequently, the lives of individuals and communities. This responsibility imposes ethical standards that go beyond mere legal compliance. We act with integrity because it is an essential part of our professional identity and because we believe that architecture, when practiced with ethical rigor, contributes to the well-being of society.
Our core values are excellence—delivering our best work on every project regardless of its scale or budget; integrity—acting with honesty and transparency in all our professional relationships; responsibility—assuming the consequences of our decisions and committing to results; respect—treating every individual with dignity regardless of role or hierarchy; and sustainable innovation—designing with both the present and future generations in mind.
2. Integrity and Honesty
Integrity is the foundation of the reputation of PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL and of the trust placed in us by clients, collaborators, and society. All members of the firm are required to act honestly in any professional context, including the accurate representation of their capabilities, experience, and the actual progress of the projects under their responsibility. This includes not exaggerating credentials or achievements when dealing with clients or submitting proposals, accurately reporting project status including delays or unforeseen events, and not omitting relevant information that could affect client or management decision-making.
Technical documentation—drawings, reports, budgets, and any deliverables—must reflect reality as faithfully as possible. The falsification or alteration of documents constitutes serious misconduct with potential legal and disciplinary consequences. Staff members commit to presenting complete, accurate, and up-to-date documentation, not signing drawings or project documents in which they have not directly participated, and immediately communicating any errors detected in documents already delivered.
3. Conflicts of Interest
A conflict of interest arises when a collaborator’s personal interests may unduly influence professional decisions. All personnel must identify and manage such situations transparently. This includes declaring in writing to management any personal or financial relationship with clients, suppliers, or competitors before starting a project or when such a relationship arises during its development; refraining from participating in business decisions involving close relatives or personal partners; and not accepting external projects that directly compete with the interests of PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL without explicit authorization from management.
The acceptance of gifts or benefits from clients, suppliers, or third parties must be handled with extreme caution in order to preserve objectivity and independence of judgment. Gifts of significant value from parties with whom there is a commercial relationship shall not be accepted; any benefit that could be interpreted as influencing a professional decision shall be declined; and any offer that raises doubts about its nature or intent shall be reported to management.
4. Privacy and Data Protection
The confidentiality of information belonging to clients, collaborators, and the company itself is a fundamental value for PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL. All information accessed in the course of professional duties—client data, unpublished projects, business strategies, financial information—must be treated with strict confidentiality. Project or client information shall not be shared with unauthorized third parties through any medium or channel; physical and digital documents shall be protected through passwords and restricted access; and upon termination of an employment or contractual relationship, all confidential company information shall be returned or destroyed.
PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL complies with applicable personal data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection and Digital Rights Guarantee (LOPDGDD). Personal data are collected solely with the data subject’s consent and for legitimate and explicit purposes; appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to ensure data security; and any security breach or unauthorized access is immediately reported to management.

6. Environmental Responsibility and Sustainability

In all projects, regardless of scale, criteria for energy efficiency, responsible material use, and reduction of environmental impact are incorporated. PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL actively proposes more sustainable solutions to clients and suppliers, even when not explicitly requested, and keeps its knowledge updated regarding regulations, certifications, and industry best practices—LEED, BREEAM, Passivhaus, CTE, and equivalents.

The firm commits to actively listening to clients’ needs and offering solutions that genuinely respond to their objectives; being transparent about fees, scope, timelines, and risks from the outset and throughout the project; promptly informing of any circumstance that may affect the budget, timeline, or quality of the commission; and not promising results that cannot be guaranteed or compromising quality under time or cost pressures.
When collaborating with PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL, both clients and suppliers commit to acting honestly and in good faith in all communications and agreements with the firm; respecting the intellectual property of projects, drawings, reports, and other documentation produced; not exerting undue pressure that could compromise the technical or ethical integrity of the team; complying with applicable labor, tax, and environmental regulations; and treating all members of PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL with respect and dignity.

8. Use of Technology and Social Media
Technology and social media are tools that, when used responsibly, enhance communication and collaboration. Improper use may damage the reputation of the firm and the individuals involved. Company technological resources shall primarily be used for professional purposes; access credentials shall not be shared under any circumstances; and cybersecurity best practices shall be implemented, including password updates, use of secure networks, and regular backups.
In social media and public communications, personal opinions shall be clearly distinguished from the official position of the firm. Confidential information about projects or clients shall not be published without express authorization. The tone on public platforms shall always be professional and respectful, and no public statements shall be made on behalf of the firm without authorization from management.

PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, bullying, and discrimination. No form of such conduct will be accepted, minimized, or ignored, whether within the firm or in interactions with clients, suppliers, and third parties. Workplace harassment—repetitive behaviors intended to isolate, humiliate, intimidate, or undermine a person’s self-esteem or performance—sexual harassment—any unwanted conduct of a sexual nature, whether verbal, physical, gestural, or digital—discrimination based on legally protected personal characteristics, and any form of verbal or physical violence are expressly prohibited.
PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL guarantees a confidential, impartial, and non-retaliatory process for handling any complaint related to such conduct. Any person—collaborator, client, or supplier—who experiences or witnesses inappropriate conduct may report it to the firm’s management. Complaints will be investigated rigorously, confidentially, and impartially, and no retaliation will be permitted against those who report in good faith.
10. Compliance and Non-Compliance
Compliance with this Code is the responsibility of all members of the organization. The management of PMMT ARQUITECTURA, SL has a special duty to lead by example. Non-compliance by any team member may result in disciplinary measures proportionate to the seriousness of the breach, ranging from verbal warning to termination of contract, and potential notification to competent authorities in cases involving criminal conduct.
