The proposal for the new territorial units of the Guardia Urbana in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district is a building with a compact design that complements the surrounding environment. The building is located on the corner of Avenida Foix and Ronda de Dalt in Barcelona.

It adapts to the urban characteristics of the site and the requirements of security, proximity and transparency of the functional plan. To lighten the complexity of the volume and provide climatic comfort, courtyards are created to act as a filter between the urban space and the interior space of the barracks and to facilitate cross ventilation from the north façade.

The functional organisation of the programme is resolved vertically, stratifying the layout by floors in order to facilitate and simplify the main flows of people moving through the building.
